Before Adobe Illustrator and Mathematica came about, there weren't such great tools for making mathematical ilustrations on the computer. But the Xerox machine filled an interesting niche; for about five years, this was a primary tool for me. This illustration is a mix of compass and straight-edge construction, pasted up xeroxes, paint and colored markers.
